These are some of the pictures that I had available to scan. Hopefully these may bring back some memories for those who served in Honduras with the 170th. The time frame of these pics was Oct. '85 through Feb. '86.

knick,
These photos are great. I think those same guys were working in the mess hall when I was there 6 years later. I think it is interesting that the Air Foce SP's in the platoon picture had BDU's before the Army guys did (like they needed the cammo for all of the field exercises they went on).

I am in this photo. We were issued the old jungle fatigues before we deployed to Honduras. We normally wore BDU's, but the jungle fatigues were lighter. Todd Karr

I remember you! You came to Ft. Lewis from Ft. Carson, right? Remember when Matthews (Link) accidentally shot himself in the thigh with his pistol while we were up on the mountain? As I recall, the med-evac chopper refused to land on the mountain at night, so the PLT SGT loaded him in the back of a Jeep and drove him to the bottom of the mountain, for the chopper to pick him up down there. Oh, the good times!
What are you up to these days?

Kevin,
Your right I came from Ft. Carson on a state side swap just as the 170th was getting ready to deploy to Hondo. I do remember when Link shot himself when we were up on the mountain, so much fun. Well I see your a lawyer now, criminal or corporate, are you still married to the same women, if I remember right she was from Korea. Well afer I got out of the 170th I returned home and worked as a reserve sheriff's deputy for awhile untill I was hired full time, I did that for about 12 years untill I got tired of all the BS, I always thought that the military was bad for BS but it's everywhere, now I'm a manager for a local seed processing warehouse and have been doing that for a long time. Have you heard from any of the other guys in the plt.

Hello everyone. It has been a very long time. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the main gate there at Palmerola. If you dont remember, it was myself and Bill Banks that got shot at by a crazy Infantry soldier while we were working in November, 1985, there at the main gate. I dont have any pictures of the gate. My e-mail is tgw338@yahoo.com. Thanks and Take care everyone.
